Mohammed al-Douri told CNN he is not in contact with officials in Iraq and does not know Saddam's fate.

"No, I cannot answer your questions," Douri said. "I told you, the game is over. I hope the peace will prevail, and the Iraqi people at the end of the day would have a peaceful life."

Asked if the war was over, he said: "Yes."
