40 journalists heading for Baghdad only traffic at Jordan border post
AMMAN (AFP) Apr 08, 2003
Forty journalists representing a dozen different foreign media outlets headed for Baghdad Tuesday from Jordan, the official Petra news agency reported.

It quoted the head of the Karameh border post, Colonel Ahmad Hazaymeh, as saying that otherwise no traffic had crossed the border.

US forces were battling Iraqi troops in the middle of Baghdad Tuesday, while much of the area between the capital and the Jordanian border to the west is reportedly in control of the US-British coalition.
