WASHINGTON (AFP) Apr 07, 2003 The reign of terror of Ali Hassan al-Majid, the Iraqi commander who allegedly carried out chemical weapons attacks against the Kurds in 1988, is over, US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said Monday.
"We believe the reign of terror of Chemical Ali has come to an end," Rumsfeld said at a Pentagon news conference.
Addressing himself to Iraqis, he said, "He will never again terrorize you or your families," he said.
