Turkey to expel three Iraqi diplomats: government source
ANKARA (AFP) Apr 05, 2003
Turkey has decided to expel three Iraqi diplomats as requested by the United States "for activities incompatible with their duties," a government source told AFP Saturday.

Earlier Saturday the NTV news channel reported that three diplomats were being expelled and would leave Turkish territory next week.

According to NTV, the diplomats declared "persona non grata" were the embassy's first and second secretaries and the deputy trade attache.

On March 20 the United States called on all countries with Iraq diplomatic missions -- whether embassies, consulates or interest sections -- to suspend their activities until a new regime was installed in Baghdad and to expel their mission chiefs.
