Kenyans rescued in Iraq handed over to diplomats
NAIROBI (AFP) Apr 04, 2003
Two Kenyan truck drivers, who were this week rescued by British troops from Iraqi forces, were handed over Friday to Kenyan diplomats in Kuwait, the foreign ministry in Nairobi said in statement.

David Mukaria and Jacob Kamau, who had been contracted to carry food and supplies for the US military in Iraq, were captured by 20 Iraqi fighters, and were shown on the Arabic satellite network Al-Jazeera two weeks ago.

The pair "arrived in (the Saudi Arabian capital) Riyadh this (Friday) afternoon in the company of the ambassador (M. A. Mahat) following the processing of their new travel documents," the statement said.
