Almost 95 percent of Greeks against Iraq war

Almost 95 percent of all Greeks oppose the Iraq war, a poll published on Friday showed.

Faced with the question "do you agree with the US-British attack on Iraq," 90.7 percent of the 2,200 people surveyed across the country between March 14 and 30 said "no," with 3.4 percent answering "rather not".

Just 1.4 percent backed the war answering with "yes". Two percent replied by saying "rather yes". The rest were undecided.

Around two thirds of those surveyed said that Iraq under President Saddam Hussein posed no threat to international peace and stability.
