Iraqi President Saddam Hussein called on the Iraqi people to "resist the invading forces" of the US-British coalition, in a speech read Friday by Information Minister Mohammad Said al-Sahhaf on Iraqi television."When the capital resists, the invaders can no longer advance and have to retreat," Sahhaf quoted the president as saying.
