PARIS (AFP) Apr 01, 2003 French Foreign Minister Dominique de Villepin on Tuesday called on all countries in the Middle East to show strict restraint in the Iraq war, in an interview with France's LCI television network.
"Nothing would be worse than a conflagration of the region," he said when questioned on Syria, which has expressed strong support for Iraq in its war against a US-led force.
