House committee approves 74.7 billion dollars for Iraq war
WASHINGTON (AFP) Apr 01, 2003 The House of Representatives appropriations committee Tuesday approved a 74.7 billion dollar funding boost sought by President George W. Bush to fund the Iraqi war campaign.
An amendment to the bill not yet introduced was expected to add another 3.5 billion dollars to help US airlines absorb the impact of the Iraq conflict on their operations, lawmakers said.
