Intellian V60 Achieves Eutelsat ESV Characterization
by Staff Writers
Irvine, CA (SPX) Apr 23, 2010

Technology Leader's VSAT Antenna Exceeds Leading European TV Satellite Operator Standards

Intellian has completed the characterization of Eutelsat on its v60 maritime satellite VSAT antenna system. Qualified to be among the best performers in the industry, the v60 antenna demonstrates Intellian's solid engineering principles, cutting-edge design and high-quality components, such as the feed horn and optimized Radome.

The v60's Eutelsat validation results confirm the antenna's superior on-the-water performance for consumers.

The Intellian v60 is a 60-centimeter (23.6-inch) Ku-band, three-axis stabilized VSAT antenna system capable of receiving SCPC, MCPC, TDMA or Spread Spectrum transmissions.

The outcome of the Eutelsat RF characterization and validation testing reported performance of 38.1 dBi of Tx gain, 35.8 dBi of Rx gain and a maximum allowed EIRP of 31.5 dBW. These outstanding results show the Intellian antenna's Tx gain exceeded the performances of other same-size antennas by 1~2 dBi and its Rx gain was also higher than the average.

Designed for ocean vessels in the recreational, commercial or oil and gas market segments, as well as military vessels, the v60 offers "always on" high-quality broadband communications, in even the roughest weather and sea conditions.

The v60 is the smallest VSAT v-Series antenna available from Intellian and offers a wide negative10-degrees to 100-degrees elevation range. The v-Series also includes two additional models, the 1.05-meter (41.0-inch) v110 and the 1.25-meter (48.8-inch) v130.

Engineered and built for reliability, beginning in the design phase, the systems endure over one hundred environmental tests matched to the most stringent military standards including extended trials in extreme sea conditions and operation tests with numerous satellite service providers.

The systems' design allows for easy installation and minimal maintenance through remote IP access. All three v-Series models are three-axis stabilized, support Xpol and Copol and Multi-band LNB, are rated water resistant to the IPx6 standard, and are protected by a comprehensive warranty.
