VSAT Systems Establishes Service Recovery Taskforce To Assist Starband Users

The taskforce will streamline the deployment of enterprise-class iDirect satellite ground stations to Starband business clients affected by the unexpected demise of IA-7.
Akron OH (SPX) Dec 01, 2004
Satellite Internet service provider VSAT Systems has established a Service Recovery Taskforce in response to the urgent needs of Starband business clients who lost service on Sunday due to a catastrophic failure on Intelsat Americas-7 (IA-7).

The taskforce will streamline the deployment of enterprise-class iDirect satellite ground stations to Starband business clients affected by the unexpected demise of IA-7.

In addition to the fast response taskforce, VSAT Systems released a three-point assistance program:

- Free shipping anywhere in the continental US - Free service for the first month - 30-day money back guarantee

"In a competitive market, time is money," said Don Jacobs, president of VSAT Systems. "We will do everything we can to get these people back on the Internet as fast and economically as possible."

"The Service Recovery Taskforce combined with the assistance program form a great solution for any operation that lost service over the weekend. They get a great system, free service and money back guarantee. What more could anyone want?" observed Richard McKinney, Senior Account Executive with VSAT Systems.

Businesses that found Starband limited in performance will appreciate the features of this best-of-breed technology. Among its many benefits, iDirect delivers pure IP architecture and built-in transmitter power control that virtually eliminates rain fade.

The failure of Intelsat Americas-7 has inconvenienced many users. VSAT Systems offers its Service Recovery Taskforce and assistance program to minimize the disruption.
