SEAKR Offers Compact Flash Memory Pak For Space Applications

The SEAKR NV-CPCI product family offers multi-capacity memory storage modules, conforming to the CPCI architecture and the 3U and 6U form factor.

SEAKR Engineering, Incorporated announced today the availability of its NV-CPCI Non-volatile, Solid State Flash Memory product family. Currently available product consists of two versions: a space qualified and an "Other Than Space" version. According to SEAKR officials, the two configurations complement both space and "Other Than Space" applications.

Paul Murray, NV-CPCI Space Variant Program Manager at SEAKR stated, "The NV-CPCI/S offers a non-volatile memory solution for power sensitive space applications, while the 'Other Than Space' version shares the common architecture, originally developed for space applications."

The SEAKR NV-CPCI product family offers multi-capacity memory storage modules, conforming to the CPCI architecture and the 3U and 6U form factor.

"The space version of the memory product line has been designed for radiation and fault tolerance. The integration of the standard CPCI interface bus with our fault tolerant architecture creates a robust product that is easy to integrate," explained Murray.

SEAKR officials say that the "Other Than Space" version of the product will offer the identical performance and capacity, without the additional screening and processes required for space based applications.

Other features of the product line include a powerful 8 bit proprietary Error Detection And Correction (EDAC) algorithm, power switching circuits to allow powering down the Flash memory devices when not actively engaged in a record, erase, or playback operation.

The NV-CPCI Product family offers capacities ranging from 256 Mbytes to 1 Gbyte and delivery from 6 - 8 months after receipt of order.

SEAKR's non-volatile CPCI memory products have applications in many markets including Space, Military, Computing, Medical, Networking, Storage Products, Telecommunications, Industrial Automation, Test and Measurement, Wireless, Asset Management Systems, Collision Avoidance, and Data Acquisition and Control Systems.
