TBN's Four Signature Networks Transmitted On Intelsat Americas 5

Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) executives at national headquarters, Tustin CA, announced that TBN's four signature networks - TBN, JCTV, Enlace USA and The Church Channel - are now transmitted on hybrid Intelsat Americas 5, the new-generation communications satellite operated by Intelsat Global Service Corporation.

"As the worlds largest faith channel, TBN understands the faith community and has created a group of channels to reach them," said Paul Crouch, Jr., Vice President of Administration.

"TBN features more original and exclusive programs than other faith channels and plans to offer more movies, documentaries and eventually sitcoms as well as dramas that will impact society in a positive manner," Crouch added.

The Intelsat Americas 5 serves the United States, Alaska, Hawaii, southern Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. It is outfitted with 24 C-band and 28 Ku-band transponder and generates a total of 3200 RF watts of on-board transmitter power.

"Intelsat Americas 5 is among the highest capacity satellites in the U.S. telecommunications industry today," explains Ben Miller, Vice President, Engineering, Trinity Broadcasting Network.

"TBN, The Church Channel, TBN Enlace USA & JCTV can be received free of charge to anyone living in North America (US/Canada). All that individual needs is a home satellite receive system capable of receiving digital TV signals from Intelsat Americas 5 satellite. For instance, JCTV (TBN's Youth Network) is a free-to-air (FTA) channel with no encryption on the signal. Viewers will not pay any one-time or monthly subscription fees."
