Trimble Partners With Command Alkon For The Construction Materials Market

Trimble announced Tuesday that its subsidiary, Trimble Mobile Solutions has signed an agreement to partner with Command Alkon Incorporated to further expand its wireless mobile resource management (MRM) solutions in the construction materials market.

As part of the agreement, Trimble and Command Alkon will work together to market Trimble's MRM solution to Command Alkon customers as well as provide new customers with a bundled vehicle and office enterprise package for fleet management.

In addition, Trimble has granted an intellectual property license to Command Alkon to support its current auto-status customers.

"We will support our wireless customers and focus on integrating vehicle information into our dispatch and quality control systems. With this partnership, TMS and Command Alkon ensure that the efforts of the leading provider of wireless solutions and leading provider of dispatch, batching, quality control and management solutions are working together for the benefit of the industry," said Ken Robinson, CEO Command Alkon.

"Systems integration of vehicle information has become the focal point for a successful implementation of wireless auto-status solutions," said Rick Beyer CEO of Trimble Mobile Solutions.

"Our partnership with Command Alkon will allow for a stronger product offering for the construction materials industry to maximize their vehicle productivity using Trimble Mobile Solutions' MRM auto-status solution."

Both Trimble and Command Alkon will work with McNeilus Companies, a subsidiary of OshKosh Truck Corporation and a leading manufacturer of ready-mix and refuse trucks in the U.S. McNeilus is the only truck manufacturer authorized to offer Trimble's auto- status solution for the ready mix construction market.
