    An unmanned Russian Progress supply ship docked Saturday with the International Space Station, the Russian control centre for space flight said.

    According to the centre, at Korolyov near Moscow, the docking took place at

    Progress, launched Thursday, is carrying water, oxygen and food as well as equipment for scientific experiments, the centre said, quoted by Russian news agencies.

    Its cargo of 2.4 tonnes also included fuel and spare parts to repair the Elektron system which produces oxygen aboard the station.

    Russian cosmonaut Sergei Krikalyov and US astronaut John Phillips have been on the station since April and are due to return to earth next month.
