Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Co Ltd (1157.HK) has achieved a sector first with the successful orbital deployment of the Zoomlion corporate-named satellite. Launched at 00:31 Beijing time aboard a Jielong-3 rocket from coastal waters near Rizhao, Shandong, the satellite is part of the Geely Constellation Group 04 mission.

This milestone extends Zoomlion's presence from global construction sites into space, underscoring its strategy to accelerate digitalization, intelligence, sustainability, and worldwide reach. The spacecraft is expected to enable service access even in remote and extreme environments.

Zoomlion operates eight national-level research platforms, holds over 17,800 patent applications, and has helped define more than 570 industry standards. Its innovations include China's first 3,000-ton crawler crane, the world's longest 101-meter carbon fiber boom pump truck, the first 10,000-ton-meter tower crane, the largest 4,000-ton all-terrain crane, and an 82-meter straight-arm aerial work platform.

The satellite enhances opportunities for global service connectivity, spanning polar regions, deserts, and offshore platforms. It supports the integration of big data, IoT, AI, and satellite communications, creating a next-generation service ecosystem that delivers faster, greener, and smarter solutions.

With its Smart Industrial City at the core, Zoomlion runs 23 intelligent factories, over 10 overseas R and D and manufacturing bases, and more than 30 major logistics hubs. Its reach extends to customers in more than 200 countries and regions. The company plans to advance frontier technologies and innovative applications to boost service efficiency and customer value worldwide.
