Maritime Launch and Reaction Dynamics partner to advance Canadian orbital launch capabilities

Maritime Launch Services Ltd. (Maritime Launch) (Cboe CA: MAXQ, OTCQB: MAXQF) and Reaction Dynamics (RDX) have announced a new phase in their partnership, marked by an agreement to pursue future orbital launches from Canada.

The collaboration will start with a pathfinder mission aiming to reach the Karman Line, the recognized boundary of space, as a precursor to achieving future orbital launches. This initial mission will serve as a significant step toward enabling Canada's first-ever orbital launch of a domestically developed rocket from Nova Scotia's coast. The launches will leverage RDX's advanced hybrid rocket technology, and following the success of the pathfinder launch, the companies plan to move forward with commercial missions using the Aurora rocket.

"This partnership is more than just a milestone for Maritime Launch and Reaction Dynamics; it's a monumental leap forward for Canada," said Stephen Matier, President and CEO of Maritime Launch. "For the first time, Canada will host its own homegrown rocket technology, launched from a Canadian-built commercial spaceport, offering launch vehicle and satellite customers the opportunity to reach space without leaving Canadian soil. This is something that has never been done before in our country, and we are proud to lead this charge."

Reaction Dynamics is the second company to commit to launch from Spaceport Nova Scotia, where Maritime Launch conducted its first suborbital mission in July 2023. In addition to the planned RDX launch, Maritime Launch is preparing for an orbital mission with an international launch vehicle operator in 2026.

The agreement with Reaction Dynamics is expected to stimulate growth in Canada's space sector. Maritime Launch is investing in expanding its facilities to provide top-tier services for launch clients, positioning Spaceport Nova Scotia as a hub for innovation in space launch operations.

"Together with Maritime Launch, we are bringing orbital launch capability to Canada for the very first time, proving that Canadian ingenuity can compete on the global stage."

This agreement marks a key development in establishing Reaction Dynamics and Maritime Launch as significant players in the global space industry, with a shared goal of making Canada a launch-capable nation.
