Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has been awarded a $157 million U.S. Navy contract for the procurement of Aegis combat system follow-on support services. The cost-plus-incentive-fee contract covers procurement of the DDG 116-118 Aegis follow-on support services representing completion of the development and fielding of the Aegis Baseline 9 weapon system and Integrated Aegis combat system on the remaining Aegis Technical Insertion 12-configured destroyers, as well as TI12- and TI08-configured cruisers. The deal includes options which would bring the cumulative value of the contract to $426 million if exercised. Work will be performed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and various other locations. The estimated completion date is September 2017. Naval Sea Systems Command is the contracting activity.
