A sophisticated new model raised the Sun’s estimated silver abundance by 55%, shrinking its discrepancy with primitive meteorites from 0.25 to just 0.06 dex—and largely resolving a longstanding Solar System puzzle.

In July 2024 a gate went up on Mount Fuji's Yoshida trail with a 2,000-yen toll and a ceiling of 4,000 climbers a day, and infrared counters on all four routes tallied 204,316 climbers for the full season against 221,322 the year before, while the other three routes had no gate.
