Parsons and Globalstar demonstrate first software-defined LEO satellite solution

Parsons Corporation (NYSE: PSN) and Globalstar (NYSE American: GSAT) have joined forces to deliver advanced satellite communication solutions tailored for public, government, and defense sectors. The collaboration also marked a milestone with the successful demonstration of Parsons' innovative software-defined satellite communication solution integrated with Globalstar's Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellation.

As global demand for reliable communication continues to rise in congested and challenging areas, this partnership introduces a cutting-edge approach to bolster communication resilience. Leveraging Globalstar's LEO satellite network, Parsons aims to ensure dependable communication channels, even in environments prone to disrupted pathways.

"This successful demonstration is a significant step forward in how we can use satellite infrastructure to support mission-critical needs across various industries," stated Mike Kushin, president of Defense and Intelligence at Parsons. "By leveraging Globalstar's advanced satellite technology, we are optimizing the Parsons capability solution to provide communications connectivity, especially in areas where radio frequency congestion poses challenges."

The Proof of Concept, initiated earlier this year, is progressing toward commercial readiness. This demonstration establishes a precedent as the first software-defined satellite communication solution of its kind in North America, enhancing capabilities in RF-congested environments. The collaboration sets new benchmarks for addressing global communication challenges in complex operational scenarios.
