South Korea has requested a U.S. Foreign Military Sales deal for UGM-84L Harpoon Block II missiles and Harpoon Block II missile kits.

The U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency, which manages the FMS program, said in its notification to Congress that the proposed package carries an estimated value of $110 million and has already been approved by the U.S. State Department.

The UGM-84L Harpoon Block II is an anti-ship missile with a sea-skimming trajectory. South Korea seeks 19 of the missiles. The 13 Block II missile kits sought are to upgrade Harpoon missiles already in the South Korean Navy inventory.

In addition, South Korea has asked for the package deal to include recertification and reconfiguration support; spare and repair parts; tools and tool sets; support equipment; personnel training and training equipment; publication and technical data; and logistical support services.

DSCA said the missiles would enhance South Korea's defensive capability and also further its military's interoperability with the United States and other allied forces.

The prime contractor for the missies and missile kits would be Boeing.

Hundreds of TOW missiles tipped for sale to Morocco
Washington (UPI) Nov 19, 2015 - Hundreds of TOW 2A missiles and their launchers have been approved for sale to Morocco by The U.S. State Department.

The U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency, which notified Congress of the possible Foreign Military Sales deal, said the proposed package for tube-launched, optically-tracked, wireless-guided 2A radio frequency weapons has an estimated value of $157 million.

"The proposed sale of the TOW 2A Missiles, M220A2 Launchers and technical support will advance Morocco's efforts to modernize its ground defense capability, the agency told Congress.

The TOW 2A -- or Tube-launched, Optically tracked, Wire-guided missile -- although primarily used as a ground-fired weapon, has successfully been used from airborne platforms.

Morocco is seeking 600 TOW 2A Radio Frequency missiles from the United States, 300 M220A2 TOW launchers, associated equipment, parts, and U.S. government and contractor logistical support.

Raytheon Missile Systems would be the principle contractor.
