RAND Corp receives $231 Mln to plan fture of US Air Force by Staff Writers Washington DC (Sputnik) Mar 23, 2016
The US military think-tank RAND Corporation has received a nearly quarter billion dollar contract from the US Air Force to study its future strategy and plans for cybersecurity and cyber war, as well as war in space, the Department of Defense announced. "RAND Corp., Project Air Force Federally Funded Research and Development Center, Santa Monica, California, has been awarded a $231.3 million... contract... to address air, space and cyber power requirements for the Air Force," the announcement stated on Monday. The massive study will focus on strategy and doctrine; force modernization and employment; manpower, personnel, and training; resource management and Air Force-wide research integration, the Defense Department explained. The RAND Corporation is a nonprofit institution that helps improve policy and decision-making through research and analysis, according to the organization's web site.
