StandardAero Business Aviation's Avionics product line exceeded all sales objectives in 2013 with a record number of avionics installs and STCs on a range of aircraft platforms. Closely-aligned partnerships with major avionics OEMs Honeywell and Rockwell Collins on programs including Primus Elite (DU-875) and Pro Line 4 to 21 upgrades, resulted in significant avionics growth and market leadership on a number of business jet models. "2013 has been a benchmark year in avionics work for StandardAero," said Marc McGowan, Senior Vice President, Business Aviation, StandardAero. "The quality of our relationship with Honeywell and Rockwell Collins has redefined what partnership is all about and the resulting benefits that come from working closely together bode well for aircraft owners and operators." In 2013, StandardAero Business Aviation completed multiple installations of Pro Line 4 to 21 and Primus Elite avionics upgrades. "The key to our success was leveraging our strong installation expertise gained in the development of these programs," said Jeremy Thomas, Avionics Product Line Director, Business Aviation, StandardAero. "This expertise coupled with a focus on customer service has allowed us to become the market leader in both of these major programs." In 2011, StandardAero partnered with Rockwell Collins to complete the first installation and certification of the Pro Line 4 to Pro Line 21 upgrade on a Falcon 50EX. StandardAero partnered with Honeywell on the development of the Primus Elite upgrade for F900C/EX and holds the STC on this installation. In addition to FAA approval, the STC is approved by Transport Canada and Brazil's Agencia Nacional de Aviacao Civil (ANAC). EASA approval is currently pending. StandardAero also holds PMA (Parts Manufacturing Authority) for the wiring harness required for both the F50EX Pro Line 4 to Pro Line 21 upgrade and F900C/EX Primus Elite upgrade. Because of the company's experience and expertise, StandardAero has been able to achieve reductions in aircraft downtime to less than four weeks for the baseline Pro Line 4 to Pro Line 21 upgrade and approximately 10 days for the F900C/EX Primus Elite upgrade, depending on options selected.
