Element 21 Golf Company Golf Shot In Space Generates Unprecedented Retailer Interest
Toronto, Canada (SPX) Dec 07, 2006 Element 21 Golf Company and Frankfurt hasw announced its positive efforts to keep up with the heavy volume of retailer interest generated by its recent successful golf shot in space from the International Space Station (ISS). The extensive media coverage of the extraterrestrial golf shot made by Mikhail Tyurin this past Thanksgiving on television networks and the national press has generated a flurry of inquiries from retailers in the U.S. and Canada, as well as some international markets. Independent golf retailers, smaller regional chains and Internet based sales outlets all want to know more about the unique high performance benefits of E21's Scandium Alloy. According to COO Bill Dey, "We have been preparing for this response. Now we have to put the 'pedal to the metal,' to insure that we can convert these inquiries into sales of our golf clubs and put E21's product on the shelves of retailers across the U.S. and Canada. While the golf shot from the International Space Station generated a lot of interest, it is the unique benefits of E21 proprietary Scandium Metal Alloy that we hope will convince retailers to carry our equipment." Michael Mcdevitt, VP Sales - North America goes on to explain: "We believe that retailers are ready for the E21 performance advantages that exceed titanium, graphite and steel and that E21's space connection helps publicize the unparalleled distance, feel and accuracy of the E21golf clubs." Dey further notes, "I have played golf all my life. E21's clubs are not gimmicks, or theoretical improvements that provides benefits only for low handicap golfers. We believe E21 represents a scientific breakthrough, based on decades of work by scientists to produce an advanced metal with superior performance capabilities for aeronautic and space exploration (the famed MiG fighter jets and the ISS). It has taken our scientists more than five years of additional research and development in order to perfect complicated production techniques necessary to work with this advanced smart metal." E21 is anticipating increased interest in its products during the upcoming PGA Merchandise Show -- the largest and most important annual industry gathering taking place January 25-27, 2007 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Company CEO Dr. Nataliya Hearn goes on to say, "We are focused on using the proceeds from our recently completed equity investment to ramp up our production capabilities and our marketing and sales efforts so that we are prepared to hit the retail market in a big way in Spring of 2007."
