Intelsat S.A., the world's leading provider of satellite services, announced it has signed a multi-year agreement with Digital Networks, a leading provider of business-class satellite solutions to the energy sector. Intelsat will provide capacity via its satellite fleet and IntelsatOne terrestrial network, enabling Digital Networks to more effectively support very small aperture terminal (VSAT) communications networks in North America.

Digital Networks will leverage Intelsat's teleport services and capacity on the Galaxy 3C satellite to expand its network in the United States and Canada.

"This agreement will enable Digital Networks to quadruple its available throughput for delivering integrated voice, data and real-time applications for our energy customers," said Digital Networks CEO Curtis Blankenship.

"With the energy services sector in North America expanding quickly, Intelsat was able to provide a solution that could help us support our customers' strategic growth plans, positioning us well for the future."

"Digital Networks' energy customers require seamless communications in some of the harshest, most challenging environments imaginable," said Mark Rasmussen, Intelsat RVP of North America sales.

"Intelsat is uniquely capable of delivering a reliable, highly scalable platform that can support these requirements, in North America and beyond."

Based in Oklahoma City, Digital Networks specializes in providing state-of-the-art communications solutions and customer service to the oil and gas services industry.
