Globecomm Systems recently announced that the Company has teamed with Samacom, the leading provider of satellite communication services in the Middle East, to launch a new Middle East service operation. The hub for operations will be located at the Samacom teleport facility in Dubai, UAE. The agreement between the two companies facilitates the launch of VSAT services, utilizing iDirect technology to support voice, Internet and data solutions throughout the region, which are scheduled to begin in the Company's fiscal second quarter ending December 31, 2005. This agreement expands on Globecomm's existing relationship with Samacom, which is a member of Dubai Holding. Globecomm has been working with Samacom for several years on the planning and development of Samacom's Teleport facilities. David Hershberg, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Globecomm Systems, said, "Globecomm Network Services Corporation is currently providing International voice and Internet services in Afghanistan, Iraq and the UAE. This agreement represents our commitment in the region and is a big step toward continued expansion of our Middle East Service Operation." Yatinder Mahajan, Director of Samacom, said, "As well as expanding our product portfolio, this agreement represents Samacom's continued commitment to constantly updating and improving our support to businesses in the Middle East.
