The European Union is not against a settlement with Microsoft over a long-running anti-trust investigation but time is running out, EU Competition Commissioner Mario Monti said Wednesday. "We are not against a settlement if that is clearly in the consumer's interest. But time is running short," the Italian commissioner told reporters.
